National Chocolate Day

various chocolate desserts

Did you know there are four kinds of chocolate? Milk, dark, white, and ruby? Never heard of ruby chocolate? It’s a variety of chocolate that is made from ruby cacao beans, which can be found in Ecuador, Brazil, and the Ivory Coast. It features a sweet, berry flavor and a red-pink color, despite having no added colors or fruit flavorings.

Did you also know chocolate is self-stable and does not require refrigeration? Just keep it stored in an air-tight container away from light and other strong flavors and it will last you through all your baking needs (provided you don’t eat it first!).

In honor of National Chocolate Day (10/28), we’ve rounded up some of the recipes we’ve featured on our blog, Cooked on Propane. Each recipe is linked and we encourage you to click and check out the recipes.
