Celebrate National Meatball Day (March 9th) by making these tasty little meatballs smothered in gravy compliments of Linda O. in our Anchorage, AK facility.

  • 1 Propane Stove


  • 1 1/2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup Minced Onion
  • 3/4 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Minced Parsley
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt plus 1/2 tsp for sauce
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper plus 1/8 tsp for sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 large Grated Carrot
  • 1/4 cup Oil or Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 cup White Wine Reisling
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3/4 cup Sour Cream


  • Mix thoroughly ground beef, minced onion, bread crumbs, mince parsley, 1½ salt, 1/8 pepper, Worcestershire sauce, egg, milk and graded carrot.
  • Shape into ball size of a walnut or use a cookie scoop.
  • Brown in oil or butter. 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove meat from pan and cook in oven.
  • Stir in white wine, water, sour cream.
  • Return meat to gravy. Cook 5-10 minutes.
