National Women’s History Month: Fran Cleffi

Fran Cleffi, Vice President of Human Resources, has been a proud member of Team Suburban Propane for 28 years. Fran started her career with Suburban Propane as a temporary employee in the Human Resources department after she graduated college. Over the years she has been fortunate to have the opportunity to serve in various roles within the Human Resources department including Compensation, Talent Management, HR Information Systems and Benefits and recently, Managing Director.

According to Fran, she’s stayed with Suburban Propane for 28 years because, “I work with an awesome team of talented people who all share the same goal. Suburban Propane is my second family and we always support and encourage each other. I truly enjoy what I do and I am grateful for the opportunities provided to me to develop my skills and grow professionally. Every day brings new challenges and an opportunity to make a difference.”

In these uncertain times and despite the many challenges, she is inspired by how her fellow employees continue to demonstrate their dedication and commitment every day, delivering exceptional service to our customers. “The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our lives and the lives of those in the communities we serve across the country. I’m very proud of our team’s efforts in supporting these local communities, from providing temporary heat installations for COVID-19 testing sites to partnering with local businesses providing meals to frontline hospital workers. Our employees never hesitate to jump in and provide assistance whenever help is needed.”

The most interesting aspect of Fran’s role in Human Resources in the propane industry is, “you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of employees. That’s something that we take very seriously. We are focused on attracting, developing and retaining our people so they can focus on serving our customers. Our employees are our most important asset and we continuously look for ways to provide them with the tools and resources they need to be successful.”
