This past year, the Florida Propane Gas Association (FPGA) reached a significant milestone: 5000 firefighters and first responders in the state completed a Propane Emergency Training Course, an accredited, comprehensive program that ultimately makes the communities served by these brave men and women a little bit safer. And at many of these sessions, Suburban Propane has been there, lending bobtails, cylinders and unparalleled expertise in propane safety and emergency response.
"No other place in the country is providing this training on this level," said Carl Weeks of Propane Environmental Services, who conducts the courses. "And it's only through the support of members like Suburban Propane that it's possible. The departments that we visit are very appreciative of the training. And we're just as appreciative of Suburban Propane and many of their managers and employees, who have given a lot of their time to make these safety training classes more beneficial and effective."
