I used to go to the local offices to get my billing explained and a senior citizen discount included...every year.And the telephone staff are much friendlier and helpful. Thanks!"

"The service from Suburban Propane has been good. While cutting my grass I noticed a gas smell and called them to report it. I was pleased that they sent someone the same day to fix the problem even though it was a holiday. My neighbor had similar issues in the past and said Suburban definitely goes out of their way to make sure your hardware is functioning at no extra cost.I definitely like that they offer a budget plan, where you pay a fixed amount each month. I did have a frustrating hiccup when I did not realize that by default the auto-pay expired after a year. I missed several phone calls while I was at work and could never catch them in after I got off. I wish they had either left a message regarding the issue or sent me a notice in the mail. Eventually they mailed me a late notice and said I had been taken off the budget plan.I try not to look at what they bill me since I essentially cannot go anywhere else. Suburban Propane negotiated with the builder of my neighborhood to install Suburban owned propane tanks during the building process. This has the advantage of the tank being installed underground without having to tear up the grass to do it at a later date. I do wish they had installed it lower so it doesn't stick up out of my yard almost 2 feet.I hate the complete vendor lock in. If I do not like the service or prices of Suburban Propane, the only way I could go with another vendor is to essentially get another tank. Additionally, I am stuck with the current tank in my yard unless I am willing to go through the destruction of digging it out."

"I have spoken with Denise on several occasions. She is truly an asset to your company. When we had a gas leak several months ago, she sent out a repairman within an hour. She is polite, very knowledgeable and very personable. Her customer service skills far exceed any expectations."
