Representatives from Suburban Propane’s Charlotte, North Carolina Customer Service Center partnered with Veterans Bridge Home (VBH) to provide lunch for more than 50 active military and Veterans and discuss career opportunities available within the Company. In addition, Suburban Propane will also sponsor a one-week, five-part seminar for active military members transitioning to civilian life through VBH partner Patriots Path, providing the necessary skills to help them remain successful post-transition.
Veteran Bridge Home is a Charlotte-based non-profit organization that connects Veterans and their families in various states of transition with different resources that help navigate employment opportunities, create social connections, and help settle their families.
The partnership is part of the Company’s SuburbanCares initiative, which is dedicated to supporting community efforts nationally. Recently, SuburbanCares has undertaken charitable endeavors to help underserved communities across the country, including: Lewes, DE; San Diego, CA; Albany, NY; Dayton, OH; Philadelphia, PA; Santa Fe, NM; Santa Rosa, CA; Columbia and Charleston, SC; and New Brunswick, NJ.
