Jacqueline Rogers of Billerica, MA, was born with a congenital heart disorder. At the age of eight, Jacqueline needed heart surgery, however, her surgery was postponed due to a shortage of type O negative blood. Jacqueline and her parents, Alan and Valerie, decided to help raise awareness about the importance of donating blood so other patients don’t have to face a postponed surgery. In partnership with the American Red Cross, Suburban Propane sponsored a weekend in NYC for Jacqueline and her parents. This included a session with the Glam Squad, the opportunity to dance at the Alvin Ailey dance studio, personal session with a pro golfer at a driving range on Chelsea Piers with Mike Stivala and attend a NY Mets baseball game. She was presented with Suburban Propane swag from Mike Stivala and his wife Kelly.
