Uncle Bob's Sugar Cookies
No spread sugar cookies that taste amazing. Thanks to Galenda in our Mt. Vernon, OH location for sharing her Uncle's sugar cookie recipe with us.
Equipment
- Propane Oven
Ingredients
- 2 cup Flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2/3 cup Butter
- 1 large Egg beaten
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp Lemon extract
Butter Cream Frosting
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 2 cup Confectioners Sugar
- 1 large egg yoke
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Sift first 4 ingredients together – set aside.
- Cream butter/sugar; blend in egg, milk add flavorings.
- Blend in dry ingredients.
- Chill in fridge at least 2 hours; roll ½” thick on lightly floured board, use favorite cookie cutters.
- Bake on ungreased sheet in oven at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes .
- Let cool, then decorate with frosting.
Butter Cream Frosting
- Cream butter & sugar
- Add remaining ingredients; stir until thick & creamy.
