Clean, Efficient, Abundant |
|
 |
It's a fuel for the future that consumers have
relied on for over 90 years. It’s a gas. It’s a liquid. And
it’s one of the world’s cleanest, most versatile sources of
energy.
|
 |
Each year, nearly 60 million Americans use
about 18 billion gallons of this remarkable fuel in their
homes, farms, businesses and industries. It warms their
houses, heats their water, cooks their food, dries their
clothes and runs their vehicles economically and efficiently
all year round.
|
 |
Unlike other energy sources, propane’s ability
to become liquid under pressure makes it portable, an energy
that can be used virtually anywhere.
|
 |
A by-product of natural gas processing and
crude oil refining, propane’s supply is plentiful and will
continue to be in the 21st century with almost all of our
supply produced domestically.
|
 |
Since most of propane’s pollutants are safely
removed during processing, as a gas it burns cleanly – so
cleanly that it can be used indoors without special
ventilation. As a liquid, if unintentionally released, it
vaporizes into a gas and therefore does not contaminate the
environment.
